Microscope Open House with Leica Microsystems (!)

Mark your calendar for a ChiTownBio open house featuring a cutting edge microscopes from Leica Microsystems, the Mateo FL and the Ivesta 3. Leica Microsystems will be making two of its premier research microscopes open for everyone to experience and explore the microscopic world. A Leica representative will be present with ChiTownBio staff making sure participants will be able to test the capabilities of this impressive machine, Leica's cutting edge inverted fluorescent microscope.

Bring something you're curious to explore on a cellular level to the lab to examine using the fluorescent microscopy! We're taking the opportunity to discuss microscopy and fluorescence and to consider and explore the world just beyond our usual visual capabilities. The open house will occur on both Thursday, April 10th and Saturday, April 12th, and will be open to everyone curious about microscopy, biology, fluorescence, or simply the world around them. If you bring your own USB memory stick, you can download your images directly!!!

We're excited to be partnering with Leica to help Chicagoans discover what makes Chicago run at a level we usually aren't even aware of!
