BioTech Fermenter: Chicago's Biotechnology Meetup

Network over a drink with Chicago's biotechnology professionals and build a community of biotechnologists, entrepreneurs, investors, and enthusiasts. We are excited to be continuing our series of networking opportunities and to discuss challenges, opportunities, and frustrations of working in biotechnology while enjoying an evening with your professional peers from around Chicagoland.

We are heading back to visit our old friends at HappiLabs. HappiLabs is a local, small business that provides digital products and services to scientists, with their feature product being the Virtual Lab Manager and a growing ecommerce store for lab supplies. Their mission is to improve the happiness of scientists and the quality of their research. The event will be an outdoor event taking place at 2201 West Campbell Park Dr. Thank you to HappiLabs for hosting the event at their location! Open mic opportunities for entrepreneurs and a networking social will be led by organizers from CHIentist and ChiTownBio.

The Biotech Fermenter is an event that is open to everyone, and the organizers strongly believe that working in a biotechnology future should be accessible to all Chicagoans, regardless of race, gender expression, sexual identity, national origin, or any other protected class. Weather permitting, this event will be held outdoors in the courtyard. We'll have drinks, lawn games, and a great community of scientists!

In the case of inclement weather, we will be inside in a common space.

• This event will be BYOB. Please feel free to bring your own drinks if you would like, but we will be providing some beverages

• There will be ample, free street parking available on streets surrounding the venue

• The venue is about 2 blocks from the Illinois Medical District Blue Line stop
