What we’re about
Founded in 2009, we pride ourselves as a family club with members from all walks of life, from students to young professionals. We aim to meet once a month, every 2nd Sunday, from 2 pm-5 pm at the Chong Pang Community Centre Conference Room (Level 3). Chong Pang Toastmaster offers a safe and conducive platform for individuals to hone their communication skills. At Chong Pang Toastmaster, there are also many roles and appointments such as impromptu speaking, language evaluation and Ah Counter (Pause-fillers). In short, chapter meeting is a very lighthearted manner for everyone (including the guests) to learn more about communication skills and have fun at the same time.
For those aged 13-18 years, we are holding the Chong Pang Gavel Club chapter meeting together with the main toastmaster club. They will be also delivering their project speeches as well in the session. Our Gaveliers are also given the opportunity to network with gaveliers from other schools, and to participate in our CC activities. Currently, we are still in the process of forming the critical mass before officially registering our Gavel Club.
