What we’re about

We are a group of enthusiastic ukulele players who meet up every week from 7.30pm until 9.30pm (with a break in the middle) for a strum and a sing along. We also occasionally play at various community events.
We have a songbook that we play from, that can be downloaded from chorltonukulele.blogspot.com
The format of the evening is very much a good sing along and a strum. Everyone has the opportunity to choose a song for the group to play from our songbook.
We have all levels of playing abilities in the group, from beginners to very experienced and everything in between.
We are a friendly group and we welcome beginners but do not give ukulele lessons, but there is always someone who will give tips, hints and advice. Playing with a group is a great way of improving your playing in a fun way.
If you play the ukulele then why not come along to one of our sessions.

Small Print

  • We have a nominal subscription of 50 pence per session attended, which is collected during the evening (this goes towards public liability insurance).
  • We meet at two venues. One is on the first floor so unfortunately there is no wheelchair access. The other venue is on the ground floor but does have some steps.
