Conscious Movie Night

Origin is a moving biographical drama based on Isabel Wilkerson's book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Wilkerson wrote for the The New York Times and is a Pulitzer Prize wining journalist. The film explores how deeply entrenched social hierarchies have shaped modern society, drawing parallels between the caste system in India, the rigid structures of Nazi Germany, and contemporary social divisions. It’s a compelling look at how these systems of inequality persist and the urgent need to recognize and dismantle them for a more just world.
