Welcome to Light & Salt, a vibrant, international community of Christians, skeptics, agnostics, and curious minds living in the Netherlands. Whether you are Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, or completely non-religious, this is a space for you.
Our group is built on the pillars of friendship, intellectual curiosity, and open dialogue. We gather to explore one of the most influential books in human history—the Bible—and discuss how ancient texts intersect with our modern, multicultural society. Our goal isn't to "win" arguments or convert anyone, but to foster deep, intellectually stimulating conversations in a welcoming environment where diverse traditions and viewpoints are honored.

What we do?
We host a variety of gatherings around the Utrecht area to help you connect, debate, and grow:

Faith & Culture Discussions: Open, engaging dialogues where we read biblical passages, explore their historical context, and debate universal themes like ethics, justice, and purpose.
Social Mixers: Casual coffee chats, dinners, and walks to build lasting friendships beyond the discussions.
Community Support: A strong network for expats and locals to share life, exchange advice, and find a "home away from home."
Ecumenical & Open Spirit: We celebrate shared values and intellectual exploration while honoring the richness of our diverse backgrounds.
