What we're about

Have you ever said to yourself “I am in pain, and have no one to talk to”, “I am tired of feeling alone; wish I could meet others that understand”, “I want to learn more… and become more educated to help myself”?. If your answer is "yes", you are encouraged to join our group.

Our Mission Statement: We were created to empower our members, their families and the community by providing education, support and encouragement for those living with these and other related chronic conditions.

Click here to see our Message Board (https://www.meetup.com/Chronic-Pain-Fatigue-and-Fibromyalgia-Support-Group/messages/boards/). There you will find helpful resources and past speaker information, etc.

We are supported by the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Center at Cal State Fullerton, which is involved in research and education related to FM and other chronic pain disorders. The Center’s philosophy is based on an integrated approach to symptom management.

Virtual Chat using Zoom

Link visible for attendees

With the Coronavirus Pandemic, we will be hosting an online Virtual Chat. Let's support each other at this most difficult time. There are 2 ways to connect: Use the Zoom app or call into the system directly.

To use the Zoom app: Click on this link:
https://zoom.us/j/949599200 (from your phone or laptop/computer)
Password - if you are new, you need to contact one of the organizers and introduce yourself so we can provide this to you. We have had some zoom bombers and are not able to display the password publicly. If your messaging settings are set to private, we cannot contact you unless you write to us directly.

Hit install app (or run the app if you already have it installed). Sign into the meeting with the meeting ID.

Hit “join audio”. There is a button at the lower left corner of the app that says “Join Audio”. That is important or you won’t be able to hear us or talk. There are 2 options. You want “Call via Device Audio”. This uses your internet connection (data) for the audio. We won’t be using the video portion.

To use direct call:
If you don't have access to a device with a camera you can still join the meeting, hear the others and talk to everyone.
Call (669)[masked] or (346)[masked]
When prompted for the Meeting ID, enter[masked], then hit pound (#). For participant ID, you can just hit pound, you don’t need one. You may still need the password.
