How Science Futurism will Reframe Healthspan Innovation (Javin Pierce)

Javin Pierce is a futurist and serial entrepreneur, has over 40 years of RnD experience academia and industry and is a prolific inventor in sports medicine, biomechanics, and biopharma.

He has a passion for extreme sports, longevity research, biohacking, aerospace, marine, rescue, and disaster response. In the late 1980s, Javin was co-founder, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Arthrex, Inc., a surgical product company with current revenue of +$8 billion.

He also served on the Sports medicine Staff of the US Ski Team, speed skied his way into the record books in 1983, raced windsurfers in the Olympic qualifiers, built aircraft, published research on skiing and tissue biomechanics, designed a ski boot, and worked with the first and only humanoid robot to obtain a passport.

When his father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1990 he began a quest to understand and apply principles of salamander regeneration and the very basics of life and aging.
