Introduction to FASA Star Trek Roleplaying (Lite)

I you like games that are entertaining without being rule heavy or overly complex, this may be the game for you. No experience is necessary! New players are more than welcome.

In the dim, dark, age of the 1970s a company called FASA published the first Star Trek role-playing game. This game system has now gone the way of the dinosaur. However, for dedicated old-school trekkers (and people newly introduced to the game) it is still lots of fun to play!

If you love all things Star Trek (or have a casual interest in exciting and fun, sci-fi, tabletop games) and would like to check out Role Playing Games (RPGs) based on the Star Trek Universe, join me for a quick overview of the rules and playing a one-shot scenario.

Anything you need to play the game is provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and imagination.

Examples of scenarios include:

Distress Call - Anthropologists secretly observing a pre-warp culture are caught in a crossfire between asteroid miners and pirates

The Orion Gambit - Orion terrorists have taken Federation diplomats hostage. The terrorists are demanding that the Federation stop doing business with the major, Orion, corporations or they'll kill their hostages.

Pain, Suffering, and the Prime Directive - An alien ship of unknown origin is on a trajectory to disaster. The ship is hurtling into a populated, Federation system at three-tenths of the speed of light. Analysis indicates it's on a collision course with a gas giant planet in the system. If it hits the planet, the explosion and related radiation could wipe out all life in the system.
