Spark Meetup 2017 #1

Where has the year gone already? It's hard to believe we are almost into March. While a lot of people refer to the "Luck of the Irish", we like to think it should really be the "Luck of the Sparkers" since we've scheduled our first Meetup of 2017 for March 15th - two days before St Patrick's Day. While we can't promise we'll have green beer, we can promise an interesting evening of Spark presentations. Come join us and start your celebration a little early.

6:00 - 6:30 - Social Hour - Pizza and Drinks. Compliments of Illumination Works

6:30 - 7:00 - R and Spark update - Since the last time we had a presentation on Spark and R, RStudio has released its own integration for those that prefer using 'dplyr' syntax. Meetup member Eugene Pyatigorsky will be presenting on his experience with the tooling.

7:00-8:00 - Spark Tips and Tricks - Meetup Member Jason Hubbard will be presenting handy tips and tricks that he picked up over the past 1-2 years. Whether you are new to Spark or have a bit of experience, there should be something for everyone.
