About us
The Cincinnati Zen Center provides the support of community to those inquiring directly into the matter of this human life in the context and lineage of the tradition of Zen Buddhism.
The purpose and intent of our practice is that all beings may be free of suffering and that we may move through the challenges of life as our compassionate original nature.
The CZC was founded by Fran Turner in 1994 as part of the Furnace Mountain Sangha, a Zen community under the direction of Guiding Teacher Zen Master Dae Gak.

Intro to Zen
Cincinnati Zen Center, 6015 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH, USThe workshop provides an orientation to meditation and opportunity to practice the forms. No previous experience with Zen or meditation is required. The format is interactive with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
The workshop is led by CZC Dharma Teachers and senior practitioners.

Please do not let living simply or financial hardship be a reason for not attending. We gladly accept donations in any amount for the event.
Attendance is limited so we may offer personal attention and observe appropriate spacing in the Dharma Hall. If you attempt to register and find that all tickets are sold, you will have the option of registering to be on a Wait List and will be informed if we have a cancellation.
