WhatsApp group: Cineville English - Expat Cinema Den Haag (+Leiden and Delft)
This group is mainly for folks who like films, especially Indie/Arthouse/European/Foreign/non-Hollywood films, or who have a Cineville membership and want to watch films with English subtitles (or with Dutch/without subtitles if the movie is in English but you got the point...if you speak English then you're safe!). Since getting a Cineville membership, I have watched many films in Filmhuis. It was an amazing experience. What is even more amazing? Watching films with other people!
As it is based in Den Haag (or "The Hague" if you prefer) we will watch films mostly in Filmhuis Den Haag, but of course, that's not the only option.
Some film theatres accept Cineville cards in and around Den Haag:
- Den Haag: Filmhuis Den Haag, Theater Dakota
- Leiden: Kijkhuis, Lido, Trianon
- Delft: Lumen
Filmhuis Den Haag, Kijkhuis, and Lumen regularly show films with English subtitles.
Cinemas in Leiden (Kijkhuis, Lido, Trianon) also show Hollywood blockbusters so we can also watch that if there is enough interest.
Buying the ticket is your responsibility (we don't book tickets for you), we advise you to buy it well in advance, as sometimes it gets sold out quickly.
After watching the film we could also have a drink if we feel like it :)
