FULL MOON FOR JANUARY
Saturday, January 3rd - Gathering 6:30 - Ritual 7 - By Michelle Orwick
Evening Star
As the New Year sings it's first song
Let we who come here, sing along
Songs of forgiveness, for all ills past
Songs of Gratefulness, for the Joys we've had
Songs to tell our tales of Woe
Songs to sing out our Power, as on the road we go
Songs to protect, the ones we hold dear
And songs just for singing to the moon
Let our Brother the Wolf drawn near
Wolf Spirit guardian of the Evening Star
Sing with us now
This first full moon of the New Year is a time of silence and sitting by the home fire. As the wild winter howls, appreciate the warmth of home and family.
Now is the time to go within and plan the changes you will make in the spring. Consider now what you will plant. Start a moon journal to record your lunar tides and write down your spring dreams.
The Cancer full moon is also very special, the energy will allow for release of old wounds, the moon will give the healing required to forgive and freeing ones self from emotional constipation.. It is time to revel sentiments, perhaps very deep ones that we may have harboring unspoken for a long time; to apologize if need to and in general be more kind and nonjudgmental. It will give the vitality to clean up the home of clutter, finish the projects which were not finished, bringing beauty and light of the full moon into the home.
