Every Tuesday 7:30 PM Central Time / 8:30 PM Eastern Time
In Authentic Relating and Circling we practice showing on the outside more of what's going on inside us.

We get together to meet people and connect at a deeper level than we usually get to have in our everyday lives. It's beautiful and it's fun. Sharing more of our truth is the way to have deeper, stronger connections and relationships. It's not easy, so we practice together.
Everyone is welcome. Please arrive on time, or a few minutes earlier if you’re not familiar with Zoom.

WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?
Every week we practice being human together.
It's like yoga, but stretching our souls.
It's like meditation, but out loud with each other.
It's like improv music--something unexpected gets created together.

Authentic Relating Games are a way to connect with other people in a context where everyone is invited to be vulnerable. Practicing vulnerability, self-disclosure, and deeper connections is a little easier when we all do it together. It's fun, and there's no wrong way to do it!

Circling is an amazing practice I learned from certified facilitators and dear friends in Dallas/Austin, TX. It’s what happens when we place our attention, awareness, presence, and curiosity from meditation on both on yourself and others through conversation. Though I facilitate the practice, I am just as much a participant as everyone else. Join us in this relational meditation!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Is this event free?
Yes. Wednesday night circles are always free.

  • Should I RSVP?
Yes, but only if you are committing to showing up. Although circling can happen with groups of 2 to 30+ people, I prefer to limit these free online sessions to 10 people. If you RSVP and don't come, you may be taking a spot that could have gone to someone else.

  • What if I don't know anything about meditation?
That's okay. We always start with a guided meditation and games that will ease us into a space that facilitates connection. All are welcome.

  • What is Zoom? Can I do this on my phone?
Zoom is the app we use to share video and voice with each other in real-time. For best results, download Zoom on your laptop or desktop computer ahead of time--otherwise, Zoom will be installed when you follow the link. If you don't have a computer, you can also join on an iPad or tablet by downloading the free Zoom app. And although the phone experience is not as great (limited view of all people at once), you can also join from your phone's Zoom app if the other methods don't work for you.

  • Where can I learn more about circling?
    Learn more at https://circlinginstitute.com/what-is-circling-method/, circlingeurope.com, and https://www.authrev.org/circling.

  • Is it really two hours long?
Yes! Though it seems like a long time, many people often wish we could stay longer by the end of our sessions.

  • What is required for this event? What should I bring or do to prepare?
Nothing is required, but we want you to understand the context. This is a space where people come to connect, be vulnerable, and share their world. In this spirit, we ask that you come with respect, a commitment to connection, and a desire to be present.

  • Can I give you a love offering?
I'm committed to keeping this event free, and I don't want anyone to feel like they need to pay anything to participate. If you feel led to give a love offering, you may do so privately on Venmo (@dalmo) or CashApp ($dalmo). Any contribution will be used to facilitate future circles (e.g., advertisement and venue costs).
