What we’re about
This group is for anyone who wants to make a real difference on climate change! CCL's mission is: 1) To build the political will for a stable climate, and 2) To empower individuals to have breakthroughs in exercising their personal and political power. We are pursuing these goals by focusing on advocacy of national "carbon fee and dividend" legislation. Such legislation would put a direct and steadily-increasing fee on carbon-based fuels in order to wean us off fossil fuels and move toward greater use of clean energy sources like solar and wind. The "dividend" returns all revenue from the fee to households so that consumers have the income to pay for increased energy costs.
We do all of this in a respectful, non-partisan way, building bridges and relationships for long-term positive policies.
