About us

This group will give people the opportunity to learn how to play chess. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and practice your chess. Anybody who loves to play chess and is looking for a friendly group is welcome to join. I will schedule this group to meet one Saturday per month. Chess Tournaments are now taking place once every three months. Chess tournaments will take place in March, June, September, and December.

The Citrus Heights Chess Club Discord channel is now open. The discord channel is intended to make it easier for all members of this group to communicate either by text or by voice with each other. You may also stream or upload your recorded chess videos onto the server.

Chess Club Tournament signups can either be done through my discord server or through my website. Below is the link to the discord server.

The Citrus Heights Chess Website website will cover video instructions on the basics of playing chess from how the pieces move to basic strategy, and even includes a video course that will take you from beginner to grandmaster. There are also instructions on how to play four player chess. The website URL is listed below. Please take a note of it

  3. A profile photo is now required when you join Citrus Heights Chess Club. The profile photo is not only required but will be very helpful and much appreciated.

Hello everybody and welcome new members.

I wanted to make sure that everybody knows that I have the Citrus Heights Chess Club discord server open.

If you are interested in a chess tournament, the next tournament will be in June. You may sign up either through my website by clicking on contact Gregory Carr and under subject put chess tournament. In the body of the form put down your first and last name and indicate that you are interrested in joining the chess tournament.

    (03) No eating and playing chess at the same time.
    (04) Please wash your hands before playing chess.
