City Walk Thrift Stores, 6.3 miles
Details
The best thrift stores, the best vintage clothing stores, the Montrose has it all. The holidays can blow your budget if you are not careful so give these a try. Many of today's thrift stores were founded and are still supported by churches in the the community with historic ties to the River Oaks neighborhood. As a result, Haute Couture occasionally appears on the rack next to JC Penney's. Come and have a look but be nice to the ladies, they are all volunteers and they don't take guff off of anybody.

Parking is abundant but don't park too close to the restaurant.
Wear light colored, loose fitting clothing, comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. The heat in Texas is always a concern so let someone know if you are having a hard time. Our organizers are not guides nor do we have any special training. We are here to come up with hiking ideas and get the hike started. Take the same precautions you would if hiking alone, including the fitness needed to make long hikes. Then enjoy the hike among friends.
