City Walk Museum Crawl, 7.2 miles
Details
If late, map of route is in photos.
Feel free to follow parallel streets if you wish. I biked this route a couple days ago and have tried to keep major street crossings at lights or stop signs or streets with a median.
I listed what we’ll be walking by in the comments.
Give yourself plenty of time, likely Lot ‘C’ will be packed, for sure if over 100 people show up.
This takes us on a walk past over a dozen museums. We will go by art museums, science museums, new museums, old museums, and former museums. We won't be going into any of them. Do that later. If you want to do something cool, go to a museum; otherwise come with us for a walk through Houston's Museum District.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. The heat in Texas is always a concern so let someone know if you are having a hard time. For more information about hiking check out this very useful hiking website: https://www.hatsandmore.org/
Our organizers are not guides nor do we have any special training. We are here to come up with hiking ideas and get the hike started. Take the same precautions you would if hiking alone, including the fitness needed to make long hikes. Then enjoy the hike among friends.
