Details

Our presenter is Vasiliki Bednar (http://twitter.com/vassb): Associate Director, Cities, at the Martin Prosperity Institute, and Chair of the Expert Panel on Youth Employment, which was recently announced by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC): link (http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?crtr.sj1D=&crtr.mnthndVl=1&mthd=advSrch&crtr.dpt1D=420&nid=1138839&crtr.lc1D=&crtr.tp1D=1&crtr.yrStrtVl=2002&crtr.kw=&crtr.dyStrtVl=1&crtr.aud1D=&crtr.mnthStrtVl=1&crtr.page=1&crtr.yrndVl=3000&crtr.dyndVl=1).

Vasiliki's presentation might be particularly valuable for those participating in the Youth Employment Challenge (http://civictech.ca/youth-employment-challenge/), which runs until Nov 29.

---

The weekly civic tech hacknights bring together designers, coders, urban planners, government staff, mappers, policymakers, students, communications strategists, and all other Torontonians who share an interest in making Toronto more responsive, prosperous, sustainable and equitable, through tech, data, and design. (Coders are welcome, but you don’t have to be a coder to contribute!)

Come and be part of it!

Agenda:

6:30-7: Welcome and intros
7-7:30: Presentation and Q&A/discussion
7:30-9: Breakout groups (make something!)
