    The City of Toronto recently released a new dashboard with data on how people enter and exit the shelter system, known as Shelter System Flow. The data is also available on the Open Data Portal and will be used to inform ongoing efforts to develop permanent solutions to address homelessness, a best practice among other North American cities that have achieve reductions in chronic homelessness. Join City staff to find out more!

  • Speakers:
    Stephanie Malcher is a Manager of Strategic Programs, with the City's Shelter, Support, and Housing Administration (SSHA) Division. She has a Masters of Urban Planning and over 10 years experience in the housing and homelessness sector. She started her career as a social worker with people at risk of homelessness, and now manages a program design and operational team who work to build the capacity of Toronto's housing and homelessness system to connect people experiencing homelessness to permanent housing opportunities.

Stephanie will be joined by Wondu Amenu who is a research analyst at SSHA. Wondu possesses Master's degree in international health from Vrije University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and has previously worked as an academic lecturing in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Communicable disease control for health science students.
