Topic: Civic Participation and Democratic Experience: Civic Tech in Toronto

• In this presentation, Curtis McCord will cover his research on Civic Tech Toronto from the past five years, focusing primarily on two papers which explore how CTTO's governance and way of producing contribute to civic life, while being distinct from many ways of understanding "civic tech".

• Curtis has a PhD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Information, where his research was focused on civic technology and the use of technologies in democratic processes.
