Topic: The Toronto Bids Archive Project

  • For the past six months, volunteers at Civic Tech Toronto hacknights have been working to improve the availability of historical City of Toronto bids & tenders ("Requests for Proposals", or "RFPs"). They'll share an update on what they've built, what they've learned, and what's next for the project.

Speakers: The Toronto Bids Archive Project team!

  • Contributors to the Toronto Bids Archive project, including Gabe Sawhney, Alex Olson, Saheel Acharya and Clyne.

Join us in person:

  • We're meeting in Room 480 of the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto (55 St. George Street, north of College St.). There will be signs!

Agenda:

  • 7:00-7:20 = Welcome and Introductions
  • 7:20-7:50 = Presentation and Q&A/discussion
  • 7:50-9:00 = Breakout groups

Code of Conduct:

Check in with us on the Civic Tech Toronto Slack:

Accessibility:

  • We're exploring ways to make our hybrid hacknights more accessible. At the moment we provide video and audio of the presentation through Zoom and automated closed captioning.

About Us:

  • Our weekly civic tech hacknights bring together Torontonians (designers, coders, urban planners, government staff, mappers, policy-makers, students, communications strategists, community organizers, and more) who share an interest in making Toronto more responsive, prosperous, sustainable, and equitable through design, tech, and data. Come and be part of it!
