This week we're turning the spotlight on ourselves! We're proud of our principles, and how we've put those into practice -- it's the reason this volunteer-run community is still going strong after over eight years. In tonight's presentation, Gabe will highlight Civic Tech Toronto's pretty neat structure, and share details about our newly-relaunched steering committee. (Including opportunities to volunteer!)

Speaker:

  • Gabe Sawhney is one of the co-founders of Civic Tech Toronto.

Join us in person:

  • We're meeting in Room 380 of the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto (55 St. George Street, north of College St., 3rd floor). There will be signs!

Agenda:

  • 7:00-7:20 = Welcome and Introductions
  • 7:20-7:50 = Presentation and Q&A/discussion
  • 7:50-9:00 = Breakout groups

Code of Conduct:

Check in with us on the Civic Tech Toronto Slack:

About Us:

  • Our weekly civic tech hacknights bring together Torontonians (designers, coders, urban planners, government staff, mappers, policy-makers, students, communications strategists, community organizers, and more) who share an interest in making Toronto more responsive, prosperous, sustainable, and equitable through design, tech, and data. Come and be part of it!
