Topic: In this talk Max and Serena will share their journey from working in big tech to leaving their jobs to use the same data and software skills to build community-driven technology. Attendees will learn about the challenges and opportunities that come from working with mission-driven organizations, and the different ways that technology can be used to drive positive change in their communities.
Speakers: Serena Peruzzo & Max Veytsman
Serena is a co-founder at 1RG where she leads the design and implementation of data driven solutions for nonprofits and progressive organizations. She has over a decade of experience at the intersection of machine learning, statistics and business.
Max is a co-founder of 1RG, where he leads the software practice. He's a professional hacker, turned entrepreneur with a love for building products.
