Civic Hacknight #462: Bringing Complaints Online at the City (IN-PERSON)

Details

This is the in-person registration for this event.

Topic: Bringing Complaints Online at the City of Toronto

Have you ever had an issue with the City and wanted to submit a complaint? Previously, each of the City’s internal divisions had their own process, making it difficult to navigate. This Complaints & Compliments project is the foundational step towards unification. We will share with you some ups and downs from this project implementation and do a few interactive sessions on things to come.

Speakers:

Lisa Guo is an interaction and service designer and her current assignment is at the City of Toronto doing service design. She is a stubborn optimist and who believes in kindness as the only way through today’s complex challenges. She's also a lover of the mundane; finding joy and humour in experiences for the 100th time and the 1st time.

Argerie Tzouras is a service designer working at the City of Toronto. Empathy guides her way of experiencing the world around her. She believes exploring issues through a systems lens is a vital component to solving complex problems.

Agenda:

  • 7:00-7:20 = Welcome and Introductions
  • 7:20-7:50 = Presentation and Q&A/discussion
  • 7:50-9:00 = Breakout groups
