Topic: Where do you go when your internet is down?
In partnership with the City of Toronto's ConnectTO team, Olivia and Emily explored ways to identify unmet internet connectivity needs in Toronto to build third spaces with access to high-speed internet.
Speakers: Olivia Ou just finished her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto pursuing Psychology and Sociology. She is passionate about privacy law, digital infrastructure policy, and the gender pay gap.
Emily Sakaguchi is an urban studies and GIS alum from the University of Toronto. She is passionate about making cities more inclusive and accessible. Her work often focuses on digital equity, sustainable development, and design governance.
