Experience the backcountry on an 8-mile adventure hike. Participants should be able to keep a moderate pace and have experience hiking over difficult terrain. Long pants and hiking poles are recommended. Be prepared for elevation gain. The hike will include a creek crossing (Clear Creek); bring a change of shoes. Meet at the Fern Parking Lot, 22937 Clear Creek Road in Rockbridge**(39.59007, -82.59188)**.
A note about severe weather:
Metro Parks periodically cancels programs due to severe weather. If severe weather (wind, lightning, severe storms) is in the forecast we recommend you check the events section on the Clear Creek Facebook page or call the park at 614.508.8015 for program updates prior to making the drive to the park. If a program gets cancelled we will send a notification out to this email list.
