This course is the second class in our CNC training series, focusing on hands-on machine operation. It requires that you've already attended WOOD150: Intro to CNC (Setup & Software).
Building on what we learned in WOOD150, this class will teach you how to safely operate the Avid CNC, from powering it on to running a complete cut.
Weβll cover essential topics like work-holding methods to secure materials, performing tool changes, and setting up the machine for accurate cutting. The class will conclude with each participant running a basic project, reinforcing the skills needed for independent CNC work. This course will give you the necessary operation skills for the practical test.
