This course will contain all the information you need to safely and successfully operate the 25"/50" drum sander, as well as how to cut your own 3-inch wide sheet of sand paper for later use and an eraser for cleaning your sand paper.
The advantage of having sand paper in bulk is that it saves you tremendous amounts of money. Buying ready-to-wrap sand paper can be costly, so I'll show you how to cut your own and save.
Basic operation of the drum sander will be covered. We'll cover how to calibrate the machine, how to use the controls to control power to the drum and the speed of the conveyor belt. Additionally, we'll discuss the warning light that lights up when the machine is under strain and how to prevent this. The types of grits and their purposes will be explained.
This course is necessary for those that have never operated a drum sander before and may feel overwhelmed by the tool. Pass the quiz afterwards and you'll have access to the machine. If you've used one of these before and want a tool test, just DM me on Slack or track me down.
