7:00 MOVIE
A Victorian surgeon (Anthony Hopkins) rescues a heavily disfigured man (John Hurt) being mistreated by his “owner” as a side-show freak. Behind his monstrous façade, there is revealed a person of great intelligence and sensitivity. Based on the true story of Joseph Merrick (called John Merrick in the film), a severely deformed man in 19th century London. The film also stars Anne Bancroft, John Gielgud and Wendy Hiller. Released in 1980, the film was nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Hurt for leading actor and David Lynch for best director. The wide-screen black and white film was photographed by the great Freddie Francis and should look fantastic on the Big Screen in this new 4K restoration. The film runs 122 minutes.

Regarding Parking: There is free parking behind the CIA off E 117th street. Follow the red brick road to the very end. The parking entrance for Lot 73 will be on your right. I would recommend arriving around 5:15 and purchasing your ticket at the CIA before heading over to the restaurant by 5:30PM.
