About us
Cleveland East side fun! I created this group because I felt that the east side did not have enough of a presence. This group is for everyone single or married. It is for people who want to meet new people and have fun socializing in different environments. It will predominately be events on the east side, but we may venture out to other cool places that happen to not be on the east side. The main purpose is to have fun and socialize. My intent is to provide a variety of different events. Most of them will be on the weekend.

Please do not RSVP if you are not almost 100% you can and want to attend. Many of the events will need an accurate number of attendees and will need to be paid for in advance. I understand that things come up at the last minute, but please be courteous to others that may want to attend.

You’re officially invited to the most jaw-droppingly fabulous fashion show of the year. Think runway magic, outrageous outfits, and enough style to make your closet jealous.
Imagine Art that you would never think of being anywhere except for on a wall . Now think about that art in a very creative amazing reinvented way— not on a wall , but on a person like as in clothes ! Metal, wood, plastic and I’m not talking about the polyester kind, paper, maybe even gumdrops- but no, you can’t eat them. Otherwise the artist will be naked and then you will get arrested and they will too! But then, while you guys are sitting in jail together, you could look at one another while you pass the bread and water, and say in unison “ WORTH IT “!!
These artists are so amazingly talented that you will not believe that these guys are actually wearing what they’re wearing. Yes, I will say it. You will have to see it to believe it.

Do you enjoy South Indian classical music and dance? Imagine the smooth sounds of the sitar, tabla, and sarod against the backdrop of bright flower chains, dazzling saris, and gem-studded scarves.
Back in 1767, Kakaria Tyagabrahmam aka Thyagaraja was born in Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state in India. He became a composer of Carnatic music, a form of Indian classical music. His music became well - respected as the theme of these amazing sounds are the 'act of glorifying God or a person'.
This festival takes place on the 5th day of the waning moon in the Hindu lunar month of Pushya EVERY YEAR and features musicians performing Thyagaraja's compositions. BUT, and that's a very big BUTT, we don't need to travel all the way to India to witness these beautiful works! All we have to do is mosey on down to the Music Building of Cleveland State University!
Please join me in celebrating at the Thyagaraja Festival! Feel free to wear your Indian attire and / comfortable clothes and get ready for some fun!

Ahhhh what better way to celebrate the amazing Maple trees that give us shade and beauty, mark the seasons, and supply us with an overabundance of never ever ever ever never ending.... drum role please..... I said, drum role please........ SYRUP!!! Yessssss! Without them, what would we put on our pancakes? our bacon? and all over our ice cream? And don’t pretend that you don’t do that ! some of you probably even put maple syrup all over hotdog or hamburgers and you just don’t want to admit it —but it’s OK. We are in a safe space! Remember: what happens at the Geauga County Maple festival stays at the Geauga County Maple festival!
