Ramseyer Farm Fall Festival and dinner- Yeah!

Every October, the sleepy little town of Maple Hollow threw a Fall Festival so charming it could make a scarecrow blush. There were hayrides, apple bobbing, and—most importantly—the Annual Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off, which was taken so seriously that even the mayor wore an apron.

This year, Doris Whitaker, reigning Pie Queen for seven straight years, strutted in with her “triple-secret cinnamon swirl” pie, which she claimed could make a grown man cry tears of autumn joy.

But trouble was brewing. Literally. At the other end of the table stood newcomer Todd Mankins, a man who had never baked a pie in his life but had once binge-watched three seasons of The Great British Bake Off and decided that was basically the same thing. His pie was… unique. For starters, the crust looked suspiciously like pizza dough. And there was shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top because, in Todd’s words, “Cheese makes everything better.”

When the judges took their first bite, there was a stunned silence. Doris’s pie was perfect as usual—but Todd’s was… confusing. Sweet. Salty. A little chewy. The mayor blinked and said, “I don’t know whether to eat it or apologize to it.”

Against all odds, Todd didn’t win the blue ribbon—but he did win the unofficial “Pie That Will Haunt My Dreams” award, which he wore with pride.

So put on some comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes - preferably stretchy pants because we are going to eat afterwards- bring some water to sip on, maybe bring a hat and some layers so you don’t get too chilly, and let’s get ready for some fun!
