ROSE OF NEVADA (2025) @ Cedar Lee Theater / Kensington Pub
Details
The Rose of Nevada, a small red trawler lost at sea in 1993, mysteriously reappears in the same tiny English harbor she last sailed from all those years ago. Two local men and a drifter who happens to be in town agree to take the boat out fishing once again. When they return with a bountiful catch, they find themselves thirty years in the past.
An “almost biblical tale of sacrifice and loss…as moving as it is unnerving” - Little White Lies
“In the hands of a conventional film-maker, this would be a conventional scary movie,.. crossing all the ‘t’s and dotting all the ‘i’s of scariness. [Director] Jenkin makes of it something more elusive and complex” – The Guardian
“basically irresistible to anybody who loves cult cinema” - IndieWire
Rotten Tomatoes: 100%
