BLUE HERON (2026) @ Cleveland Cinematheque / l'Albatros
Details
An eight-year-old discovers her family’s helplessness as her teenage brother gradually spins out of control.
“A powerful, masterful debut film…so lucid that before any real tragedy unfolds (or is even hinted at), you feel it in your bones.” - Observer
“the best film of the year to date….tells all of us who have struggled with both troubled childhoods and difficult parenthoods that it’s OK not to have all the answers. It hit me like a punch to the chest. But it also allowed me to breathe easier afterward.” - RogerEbert.com
Rotten Tomatoes: 98%
MetaCritic: 94% Must See
