DESCRIPTION
What defines a familial bond? Is it growing up together or are genetics enough? When a famed conductor (of the Cleveland Orchestra in the film), discovers that the only viable donor for a bone marrow transplant is a brother he never knew he had, two strangers quickly discover how connected they are in many ways beyond their genes. These two brothers help each other physically, spiritual and musically in this new French comedy/drama by Emmanuel Courcol (The Big Hit) that was nominated for seven César Awards including Best Picture. “Warm and sure-footed, the film has the feel of a richly satisfying meal in an excellent neighborhood bistro.” Danny Leigh, Financial Times

REVIEW
What keeps this an involving drama, rather than a thought experiment about nature versus nurture, is how the characters are honest about their struggle. By the time it arrives at his bittersweet ending, it earns its note of ephemeral, poignant triumph.
