Lebanon: Cedar Lee Theater / Sasa at Shaker Square

Hi everyone,

Well the movie group had a strong hit and somewhat of a miss.

Everyone loved Animal Kingdom. The French film "Father of My Children" was a well -made film, but not compelling enough. Most of us liked it a little bit.

Other happenings: George is scheduling his first movie: "Waiting for Superman". It is about schools and what may be needed to be done. It is by the same individual who made Inconvenient Truth. It looks to be a great movie to see and discuss. We are seeing it October 27.

Michael will be scheduling Farewell very soon. Look for it to be shown on September 27 (a Monday).

Our next movie is a real treat. Lebanon is being talked about quite a bit. We will be meeting at the Cedar Lee around 7 and having dinner afterward at Sasa. I hope you can join us. It is Friday October 1.

There is another film festival coming up at the Rocky River Nature Center. It is about paddling canoes, kayaks, etc.

One that has generated a lot of interest is the Jewish Film Festival starting October 7. I don't know if I can schedule a movie for it because the tickets have to be purchased ahead of time and it always sells out. If anyone wants to post a note or try scheduling, let me know. It is a GREAT festival.

Also, Chagrin Falls has its first Documentary festival. I am still looking for someone to schedule something there. If you are interested, let me know.

Talk with you soon.
