Juan of the Dead - Thursday October 11

From: Jims
Sent on: Sunday, September 16, 2012 12:59 PM
Hi everyone,
It is a beautiful day today / Sunday.  Make sure you are outside at least some of the time and not reading these emails Smile emoticon
Recently, I have noticed only a few comments being posted after the movie.  Amy and I went to see Sleepwalk With Me (we really enjoyed it) but there were only 2 comments from everyone (over 20 attendees).  If you have a few minutes, try to share your thoughts as you are rating the movie.  It really helps for other members to see what you had to say.
There is still time to RSVP.  This gem of a film (it is G-rated) kicks off the series of the films of Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) at the Cinematheque.  It shows today / Sunday 9/16 at 6:30 PM.
Our group has seen a few films about Freud / Jung.  This one is the true story of when the famous composer visits Freud for help on his wife's infidelities.  The soundtrack is supposed to be quite good.  Friday September 21 at 7:30 PM.
A month back, John Ewing told me that one of the most surprising films was a Cuban satire on vampires.  While it would never achieve the elegance of the Abraham Vampire classic, it was a real hit with the audience.  Plus it gives us insight into the Castro regime from people who actually live there.  I hope you can make it on Thursday October 11 at 6:45.
If any of these events look interesting to you, let me know and I can get you squared away to schedule one or more films.
Thanks to Tanya for organizing several events at the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, opening October 3.
Other Film Festivals coming up in the next month we are looking for organizers to help out on.    Let me know if you are interested in any of these.
