2 bands: Texas Rock @ Mentor Rocks Tues., Aug. 5

Eli YOUNG BAND at 7:30pm Led by an unmistakable vocal and bringing a Texas-rock edge to modern country for 25 years, the Eli Young Band’s never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson have spent decades on the run, growing from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers. Driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, you can expect an amazing show from a band of brothers still very much in their prime.

But first at 6pm: Breakout country artist Sophia Scott may originally hail from Boulder, CO, but the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist found a home in Nashville, TX, by continuing a time honored tradition of storytelling with no shortage of gusto or grit.
