Hiking Challenge: Historical Gates and Temples of Bukhansan National Park!

Hello CIKers!

We will explore traditional old temples, see at least four of the fortress gates, hike up many peaks, and enjoy the beauty of nature during our challenging hike on Bukhan mountain.

[Hike Route]
Seunggasa temple - Samobawi rock- Seunggabong peak - Munsubung peak - Daenammun gate - Munsusa temple -Bogukmun gate - Daedongmun gate - Sidangbong peak - Yongammun gate - Dosunsa temple- Uidong(12km/7hrs)

This hike will take roughly around 7 hours, depending on the speed and ability level of our group. The trail is classified moderately difficult and has a few fun challenges along the way. Some sections of the trail are rocky and steep and will involve stairs and handrails so make sure that you have appropriate hiking shoes and are up to the challenge!

Where to Meet : Lycée International Xavier 하비에르 국제학교 . PLEASE BE ON TIME!

Date and Time : May 31st, Saturday at 10:00am

What to bring : Appropriate footwear for hiking (we recommend sturdy hiking shoes or boots-we do not recommend sneakers), Clothing appropriate for the weather (it's cold on the mountain-dress warmly), Snacks/lunch, Plenty of water and etc.

Difficulty : moderate to advanced

Altitude : 100~720m

Distance : about 12 km

Estimated trip time: 7 hours(including lunch time)

- Our activities and time might change according to weather, traffic, and etc. Please be flexible; we are all here to have a good time
- CIK highly recommends taking your own travel/accident insurance if you haven't already done so.
