What better way to spend a weekend than climbing at Arapiles.
Departing Melbourne on Friday night and returning Sunday afternoon, we will camp at the Pines campground at the base of Mt. Arapiles. The climbing is spectacular at this time of year and if it gets too hot there a quite a few pleasant swimming holes to paddle in during the suns scorching desert heat.
There is the potential to organise a pizza night at the pizza oven in Nati.

  • Climbing harness
  • Climbing shoes
  • Tent
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Sleeping Mat
  • Camp cooking utensils
  • Food for four days

  • Warm clothing (deserts are cold in the evening)
  • Swimming gear (deserts can be hot during the day)
Head to the ROC gear room to hire most of these goodies (Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-7:30)
    Trip costs:
  • Fuel: $40- $60
  • Camping: $5 per night - total $10 (organise yourselves online with the other passengers in your car)
  • Club fees for trip: $10 per day - total $20 (plus any extra gear that you hire for camping)
