What we’re about

DevOps is an approach to managing software development processes that collaborates between operations teams and developers. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) focuses on designing and implementing highly scalable, resilient, and dependable systems.

DevOps focus on eliminating the organizational silos that impede collaboration between development and operations functions, whereas SRE works to design and implement the kind of scalable, dependable systems that ensure maximum reliability.

The technicalities in which they differ are a matter of outcome orientation of what can be done versus how this said thing is done. Ultimately, SRE cannot replace DevOps because they don't necessarily encompass the same activities.

We will specifically focus on Cloud native technologies. All skill levels are welcome. Like our other Meetups, there will be a hands-on approach to topics covered in the Meetup.
