About us
Welcome to the official Cloud Native Community Group (CNCG) - Kuala Lumpur Chapter! We look forward to creating a community of enthusiasts consisting of end-users and contributors to the Cloud Native project(s). Even if you're new to Cloud Native, we gladly welcome you to the community to network with fellow enthusiasts, learn and explore the projects. We meet once a month to learn, share and discuss the latest in cloud computing, operations and architecture. Please get in touch with us! Tell us what you think, what you want or don't want, and step up to present at our meetup (by filling up sessionize form) and don't worry, we'll take care of the logistics including food. Being part of this community, all of the members are required to agree with the Code of Conduct. Together we are #TeamCloudNative
About Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF):
Cloud native technologies empower organizations to build and run scalable applications in modern, dynamic environments such as public, private, and hybrid clouds. Containers, service meshes, microservices, immutable infrastructure, and declarative APIs exemplify this approach. These techniques enable loosely coupled systems that are resilient, manageable, and observable. Combined with robust automation, they allow engineers to make high-impact changes frequently and predictably with minimal toil.
CNCF seeks to drive adoption of this paradigm by fostering and sustaining an ecosystem of open source, vendor-neutral projects. CNCF democratizes state-of-the-art patterns to make these innovations accessible for everyone.

We will dive into differentiating capabilities like scalable Neural Sparse ANN Search using the SEISMIC algorithm, and the new Search Relevance Workbench for metric-driven relevance evaluation, automatically building Vector Search pipelines at query runtime and UI editor for AI Search workflow set up.
The talk will include a demo on- Agentic Search with OpenSearch using locally hosted LLM models
- Search Relevance Workbench to improve Search Relevance and lastly
- A preview of the upcoming Agentic Search Relevance Tuning that makes tuning Relevance easier
Session Details (Talk #2)
Speaker Bio: Kavish is a DevOps Architect based in Kuala Lumpur. He works on Kubernetes, DevSecOps, container platforms, and developer tooling, with experience across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and platform engineering. He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
Session Title: Rebuilding Trust in the Software Supply Chain on Kubernetes
Session Description: This session looks at how software supply chain attacks affect Kubernetes teams and what can be done about them. The session will explain how trust is lost across dependencies, build pipelines, and container images, and how it can be rebuilt using signed artifacts, provenance, SBOMs, and admission control. The talk will then connect these ideas to CNCF projects that can help enforce policy in Kubernetes, namely Kyverno, in-toto, and ORAS. The focus will be on practical ways to verify container images, understand their contents, and reduce the risk of deploying untrusted or compromised software63 attendees
