Community Managers' Meetup: Community Managers who manage offline communities

Details

Note: This month, we are meeting on a Thursday, instead of Wednesday.

Community Management has changed its approach and meaning. What was recently an activity that existed primarily online, community management is now returning to its roots and we are seeing many community managers that are bridging online and offline to bring a new take on the art of organizing and managing communities.

In this session, we will hear from a diverse panel of community managers who are rooted mostly offline and how they use online tools to mobilize and manage their offline communities.

We will see their unique approaches to successfully organizing large, disparate and distributed groups of people toward a unified goal.

Panelists:
*Adam Weinke, Community Director, WeWork
*Ronnie Rodriguez, Mayor’s Fix-it Team Community Manager for the City and County of San Francisco.
*Angie Coleman, Director of Community, Lesbians Who Tech

Moderated by: Rik Panganiban, recent manager of the Science Action Club educator portal at the California Academy of Sciences.

See you then and don't forget to RSVP!
