What is this group about?
Welcome to Co-op Social Gaming a community specifically designed to find others to play co-op games with.
What are Co-op games?
Co-op (“cooperative”) games are video games where you generally play on the same team. Most of what we play emphasizes communication, teamwork, and problem-solving to overcome challenges. We occasionally mix in light, friendly competitive games, depending on what the group wants.
Many of the games we play are easy to learn and jump into and don’t require long hours of grinding or deep time commitments to enjoy.
Who should join?
Anyone interested in playing co-op games. All skill levels welcome.
Requirements to join
- Most of our games are on Steam, so a PC is generally required.
- Some titles are cross-compatible with Mac—please check each event’s listing for compatibility.
- A microphone is needed for voice chat.
- Use headphones/earphones to prevent in-game echo.
How we play
This is a bit of an experiment, but we’ll primarily use Discord for voice and setup. If a game has reliable in-game voice, we may switch, but by default we’ll meet in the Discord gaming lobby to introduce ourselves, form squads, and agree on how we’ll communicate. IMPORTANT rules:
This community is meant to be a fun, safe, friendly, and inclusive community. So please be kind and respectful to one another. We have a zero tolerance policy on any form of harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind. Please be considerate of what you say and how you present yourself. Yes games can get competitive and may result in heightened emotions, however, we expect you to still be kind to one another. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate permanent removal from the group. If at any point you have any concern or feel uncomfortable or unsafe around the members of the group, please report them to a MOD. All reports will be taken seriously.

Event scheduling: mostly weekday evenings or random weekends depending on my availability

OnlineWhat is Peak?
It’s a co-op climbing adventure game where teamwork gets us up the mountain. Our goal is to help each other climb, gather items along the path, and reach the summit as a team. Join the Discord for voice. I’ll host the game and send Steam invites.Format & Player Count
With a mod, we can potentially fit up to 8 players without many issues, so I’ll cap this event at 8. If there’s a long waitlist, we may try to squeeze in a few more. Only the host needs to install the mod.Hardware Requirements

How to Join?
- RSVP on Meetup so I have an accurate player count
- Join the Discord
- Hop into the Gaming Lobby voice channel at the event time and we’ll set up the game there
Plan
- Up to 10 minutes for hellos and setup
- Up to 60 minutes to climb (feel free to stay longer or leave whenever you'd like)
