We're bringing back one of our most beloved dining spots for another evening of great food and even better company. Join us at Palmina by Puglia, a charming Palm Springs gem offering fresh, homemade Italian cuisine inspired by the Puglia region of southern Italy. The restaurant is helmed by celebrity chef Antonello Zito — winner of the Chopped Grand Battle Italiano — who brings an authentic Italian touch to every dish. Expect a warm, intimate atmosphere, delightful food, and a table full of good people.

Billing for this event will be handled via:

• Separate checks provided by the restaurant ✅
• Collective bill split after dinner ❌

💰 Deposit Details:
To prevent last-minute cancellations and no-shows, a refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. If you attend the event, your deposit will be refunded (minus the admin fee described below). If you cancel with at least 48 hours' notice, your deposit will be refunded in full — no admin fee deducted.

We accept deposits of either $20 USD or $30 CAD per person to accommodate both domestic attendees and Canadian snowbirds. Please choose one of the following methods:

• $20 USD via Venmo (@kabs86 -- if required when sending, the last four digits of associated phone number are '2027')
• $30 CAD via PayPal (paypal.me/kabs86) or Interac e-Transfer (DM for email)

If your payment username or email is different from your Meetup name, please include your Meetup name in the message/comment field so we can match your deposit to your RSVP.

If you are bringing guests, you may send one combined payment as long as the total amount matches the number of people attending.

Deposits will be fully refunded if the event is cancelled for any reason.

⚠️ Important:
If your deposit is not received within 24 hours of RSVPing, your RSVP may be changed to "Not Going" until the deposit is received, and someone else may take your spot.
If you are paying via Interac e-Transfer (CAD only), the 24-hour window starts after I send you the email address via DM. It is your responsibility to request the email via DM immediately after you RSVP. If you fail to request the email or if your deposit is not received within 24 hours, your RSVP may also be changed to "Not Going."

📋 How to Join the Event:
1️⃣ RSVP on Meetup by clicking "Attend."
2️⃣ Send your deposit within 24 hours of RSVPing.

💡 Important Notes:

• Deposits will be refunded after the event (minus admin fee) or if you cancel with 48+ hours' notice (full refund).
• No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the event will forfeit their deposit.
• If the event is full, join the waitlist. If demand is high, we may be able to increase capacity but in no event will we have over eight people. The idea is to keep the group small, conversation flowing, and everyone involved. Please only send your deposit if you are moved to the "Going" list.
• You are responsible for any fees associated with deposit transactions; there should be no fees with Venmo or PayPal when no currency conversion is involved. Fees may apply to Interac e-Transfer depending on your bank, or PayPal transactions that involve currency conversion.

🚨 Cancellation Policy:

• Cancel with 48+ hours' notice: Full refund of your deposit.
• Cancel with less than 48 hours' notice: No refund.
• No-shows: No refund.
• Refunds will be processed within two (2) days of the event via the same payment method used.

💳 Billing & Admin Fee:
A small admin fee is added per person to cover event coordination, reservation management, and post-dinner billing:

• $2.50 USD / $3.50 CAD per person if the restaurant provides separate checks
• $5.00 USD / $7.00 CAD per person if billing is handled collectively (by yours truly) and split after dinner

If billing is handled collectively, your share (food + 20% gratuity) will be requested after the event via:

• $USD via Venmo (@kabs86)
• $CAD via Interac e-Transfer (we will use the same email on file from your deposit)

CAD amounts for collective billing will be calculated using the day-of exchange rate. The admin fee will be deducted from your deposit refund after the event.

ℹ️ Additional Info:
When you arrive, ask for the reservation under Kabir. If the event is full, feel free to join the waitlist — if there's enough interest, we may be able to expand capacity.
