What we’re about
## Welcome to Yannick's Coaching Lab!
I’m Yannick, I love coaching, and I created this Lab to give coaches the opportunity to witness highly experienced coaches live at work.
### If you've ever seen a coach in action, you know what a massively valuable learning experience it is.
And that is why I created The Coaching Lab, where you get to be a fly on the wall during a 45-minute live coaching session, talk to the coach & client about their experience, and practise your own skills as part of an intimate and friendly community.
Over the years, The Coaching Lab has become a valuable asset in the lives of many coaches. Both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike tell us how much they love the opportunity to take a look inside the minds of other coaches. It’s enlightening and revealing to hear coaches reflect on the ‘what, why & how’ of their coaching approach, and to see a range of different styles in action.
If you’ve ever felt that life can be lonely as a coach, or you want to learn new techniques, or try out a new modality or way of being before using them with paying clients, then The Coaching Lab was made for you.
I hope to see you at one of our next events!

PS: It all started here on MeetUp in 2020, but the Lab has a dedicated home now and a growing membership base. You can learn more about the Lab, and become a member, at [www.GoCoachingLab.com](https://gocoachinglab.com/)
PPS: Most attendees are either members of the Lab or buy tickets via Eventbrite, so if it feels quiet here on MeetUp, that's why. Rest assured there'll be a crowd and plenty of great atmosphere.
PPPS: Non-coaches, curious about what's going on under the hood or keen to experience a coaching session, are more than welcome!
PPPPS: If you would like to get some free coaching in the Lab, and you wouldn't mind an (invisible) audience, you can apply to be a client for one of our invited coaches here.

•OnlineYannick's Coaching Lab: Rich Litvin Session Walkthrough w/ Eric Larson & Yannick
OnlineWelcome to a special edition of Yannick's Coaching Lab!
In August I had to cancel our Lab, for the first time in our nearly 6 year history, so today I want to make it up to you with a special new format, and with the help and critical eyes of a trusted colleague.
For years I've been wanting to watch some of the many coaching demos that are floating around on the internet and then pause to comment and react, to connect theory to practice, and to cast a critical eye on some of the world's most prominent coaches' actual work with clients. Today, together with you, we want to disect, discuss, analyse, constructively critique, and learn from....
The excellent Eric Larson (who must have well over 15000 combined coaching and supervision hours under his belt by now) will join me for this Lab, and we will watch this session for the first time together, so there's nothing prepared and everything's raw and unfiltered. After testing this format out with one of Marcia Reynolds' sessions in November (available in our Coaching Lab Vault), I know this format is super teachable, and given Rich's profile, probably a bit provocative too, so I reckon you're in for a treat.
Tickets will go on eventbrite and meetup in the next few days but if you're on this list and got an invite, you can just join us, for free. The more the merrier :)
Tonight's Guest Coach - not in person! We'll watch a public recording
My guess is you won't need an introduction, but the "official" Bio (as per his website) reads as folllows:
Rich Litvin is the elite coach that other top coaches and entrepreneurs seek for transformative breakthroughs. Like “Q” in the James Bond movies, he’s a Brit who prepares highly successful people for their next great mission.
His clients include Olympic gold medalists, Special Forces operatives, and hedge fund managers overseeing hundreds of billions in assets. He’s coached the founder of an aerospace company, the former Head of Trading at Rothschild’s, the founder of a Wolf Sanctuary, and the former Assistant Chief Scientist for the high-performance wing of the Air Force.
Rich is the founder of 4PC, an exclusive community of the top 4% of coaches, and he leads an online network of over 60,000 professional coaches. He’s the co-author of The Prosperous Coach – the second best-selling coaching book this century! It has revolutionized how coaches build thriving practices through deep relationships and word-of-mouth referrals.
Originally from London, Rich now lives in Los Angeles, having lived and worked in eight countries across four continents. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Effectiveness and trained to teach at the University of Oxford. His company has built five schools in Africa, sponsored the care of four wolves and raised over $40,000 for humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
We’re now in the ‘Coaching Century’ – an era where personalized coaching becomes the ultimate competitive advantage – and his forthcoming book, $100K Clients: How to Find Them, Coach Them and Keep Them unlocks the secrets of premium coaching.
Your hosts:
Your host and facilitator for this evening is Yannick Jacob, professional coach, trainer and supervisor with over a decade of experience. Yannick is a published coaching author, teaching faculty at Cambridge University and the International Centre for Coaching Supervision, Course Director of the acclaimed ACIC and former Programme Leader of the MSc Coaching Psychology at the University of East London.
Eric Larson is a coach and supervisor based in Minneapolis, USA. He was one of our first guests in the Lab and back in 2020 already had more than 10.000 hours of coaching on his back. Ontologically trained, and full of inspiration and critical zest, for the past few years he's been mainly supervising. I can say I thoroughly enjoy every encounter I have with Eric, and so I invited him to join me in taking a good, edutaining look at Rich's coaching style with me.

•OnlineYannick's Coaching Lab: Coaching with Carolyn Freyer-Jones
OnlineWELCOME TO YANNICK'S COACHING LAB!
Be a fly on the wall for a live 45min coaching demo, followed by a debrief, Q&A and conversations with the coach and client, and a chance to practice and experiment in triads in breakout rooms afterwards. You'll get to learn from interesting and experienced practitioners, connect with other coaches and generally have some fun and experiment in a safe and confidential environment.
FEATURED COACH
To kick off 2026 with a bang, I've invited Carolyn Freyer-Jones to the Lab. Carolyn is a long-time client and friend of Steve Chandler, and runs her own Coaching Success School (new cohort recruiting in January, take note!). I had recruited Carolyn for the ACIC faculty (alongside Clutterbuck, de Haan, Passmore, Hawkins, Carter-Scott and others) to run the business building module and as part of this I also got to witness and discuss a phenomenal coaching demo she recorded for us. Her beautiful style and presence will surely be rich learning ground once more, so I'm more than happy we get to see her in action in our Lab in January!
BIO & APPROACH
Carolyn Freyer-Jones has been a passionate coach and facilitator for 18 years. She has a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology from USM and considers the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology to be the foundation and springboard for her work and her personal life. In 2012, she developed the University of Santa Monica’s Soul‐Centred Professional Coaching Program.
In 2017, Carolyn launched her own school for professional coaches, the CFJ Coaching Success School where coaches from all over the world learn the skills and tools for growing a thriving coaching business through meaningful, service-oriented conversations.
About Carolyn's coaching:
Individual coaching is intimate work. My clients discover a deep well of courage and strength of heart inside of themselves—one that they often did not previously know existed. These qualities serve them in extraordinary ways—both in the coaching work we do together and as they walk through their lives.
Here’s what I know: For every heartfelt dream that lies inside of us, there are layers of hardened old beliefs, judgments, disappointments, and fears that serve as obstacles blocking us from what we most yearn to have. I know this from my own experience and also from years of working with the men and women whom I serve.
This is why coaching is so powerful. When my clients and I partner together, we do so with an air of curiosity, compassion, and support. There’s no shying away from the darkest spots—because my commitment to my clients is to assist them in discovering the value and learnings in these places. My clients access and build new, powerful muscles inside, the muscles of tenderness, compassion, acceptance, gentleness, and Self-support.
RECORDINGS - where coach and client give their permission for the session to be used for training purposes (they will have 1 week post-event to veto or request edits), recordings will be made available to members. This also means that by participating in the Q&A and discussion you agree to be recorded.
