What we're about

Welcome to Yannick's Coaching Lab!
Please put your lab coats on and join us every 1st Tuesday of the month to observe a live coaching demonstration, discuss it afterwards together with the coach and client, and then experiment and grow as we breakout into triads.
Following a decade of training, coaching and supervision experience, "Yannick's Coaching Lab" was born from the feedback that we often get from training weekends and coaching events. Beginners as well as seasoned coaches tend to tell us that the most valuable part of the learning came from observing the fishbowls, from practicing with each other and the reflective discussions amongst the group. And since it's difficult to find quality coaching on YouTube, and live training events are usually quite expensive, we decided to create an event dedicated to all the best bits and for an affordable price.
We want to bring people together who are committed to their learning, growth and who love to talk about coaching. If you're a coach who likes to experiment with something new and explore how other people are coaching, you're at the right address!
In Yannick's Coaching Lab you will witness a 45-minute coaching session, afterwards we'll debrief and discuss as a group for 30min and you'll get to ask the coach questions about why chose certain interventions, why they asked particular questions or stayed silent during a critical moment, followed by a chance to practice in triads (coach, practice client and an observer) as to hone your skills and receive some feedback on your coaching (or indeed some free coaching for yourself).
Here's a video invitation by your host, Yannick Jacob, Positive Existential Coach, Supervisor, Trainer and former Programme Leader of the MSc Coaching Psychology at the University of East London:  https://youtu.be/3obaA9HFWSw
See you at the next Lab :)

PS: Since the pandemic has hit just as we were scheduled to launch, all our Coaching Labs have been virtual with great success.

PPS: Many coaches get their tickets via Eventbrite, so rest assured there'll be a crowd
PPPS: Non-coaches, curious about what's going on under the hood or keen to experience a coaching session, are more than welcome!

FEATURED COACH
This month we have a special guest: Sachin Sharma

I've seen Sachin come up in the coaching world 5 years ago and his business growth has been incredible in this time. Listening to him talking about how he 10x'ed his coaching practice through social media interactions has been inspiring, and his approach to life and coaching is somewhere between unconventional and shocking. We've had a few conversations about coaching, but I've never seen him do his thing with a client, so I can't wait to see some of his talk in action, and to get a chance to dissect it a bit afterwards. This should be a really interesting session and I'm glad he's taken the time to join us.

BIO & APPROACH
Sachin Sharma has been coaching since 2017 and has worked with hundreds of clients, accumulating thousands of hours of coaching practice. He works with people to create the miracles of life like inner peace, freedom from anxiety and mind created limitations.

After decades of living in reaction, he now chooses to live in creation and is looking forward to demonstrating what he thinks is the most effective coaching method he has come across since he started coaching.

Sachin believes that bringing everything back to zero means dropping the thoughts we have on events or feelings instead of reacting to them, creating an empowering space to live our lives.
Sachin is running his first invite only retreat in June 2022, called ‘The Ultimate Business Training Retreat’, it combines being and doing to create the most impactful results.

The Coaching Cabinet - A free peer-support group for coaches

Link visible for attendees

Welcome to the Coaching Cabinet!

The Cabinet is a dedicated monthly peer support group for the wider TaC Talking about Coaching community (this includes members and visitors of the Coaching Lab, listeners of the Talking about Coaching and Talking about Coaching & Psychedelics Podcasts, members of the Facebook group, and any life, business, transformational or other kind of coach who enjoys talking about coaching and keen to connect with colleagues).

Our aim is to come together as colleagues and help each other out across three different domains:

  • Business: support with establishing, maintaining or growing your coaching business, signing up clients, niching, selling, marketing, etc
  • Practice: how to practice coaching, sharing different coaching skills and techniques, peer supervision or sharing stories from our coaching practice
  • Personal: support with personal challenges or development goals that you may have as a coach, growing as a person to grow as a practitioner.

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month we'll get together in three breakout rooms via Zoom to create movement and value for each other, share our knowledge and experience, offer coaching-style questions and/or accountability, as well as peer supervision.

Each room will be facilitated by an experienced coach and supervisor who will hold the space for the group and help you create value for each other, based on a series of themes that have been chosen by the group to be most relevant/helpful in each domain.

The format of each room will usually follow a "spotlight" model, in which one member of the group will be invited to share a current challenge or goal they're having, with the rest of the group dedicated to helping them out through offering questions, observations or sharing their own knowledge and experience on the topic. Depending on the complexity of the issue, we'll have time for 2-3 rounds during each get together. So have a little think what you might want to bring in, or just lean back and listen in on some of your colleagues' challenges and wins.

While you'll get the most from the Coaching Cabinet the more regularly you'll attend, these are drop-in sessions, and so you can join different groups at different times or just stick your head in when you're looking for some support with a current issue you're facing.
And yes, these sessions are completely free to give something back to the community of coaches that we feel so at home in. If you want to do a kind thing, feel free to make a donation. We'll invest it back into community services.

That's it. We look forward to seeing you there :)
In the meantime, be well!
