Saturday Morning Urban Farming: FALL CLEANUP! We Grow Fresh Produce for Charity

Details

Please help this weekend!

Charity Farm: We feed those in need with our fresh produce.

We will be harvesting, weeding, building new planting beds and more. Please bring: hat, water, clean clippers, gloves (if you want) and hand hoe or hoe (if you have one). We have fun, would love your ideas, have many acres to plant and a food forest (modified due to restrictions) to design. We are all volunteers coming together to get fresh air, exercise and contribute to our community with fresh produce for those in need.

Please park anywhere near the tanks or fence without blocking the blue container or roads. We need access to our tools.

We just received an address from the County. I suggest you type in the business across the street from us County Quarry 5501 Imhoff Drive, Martinez CA to your GPS. Turn in toward big black water tanks and drive past these and park. Please take my phone number 925-788-7374 and call if you can't find us.

Email me at sustainablefarm@comcast.net or text me, if you don't get an email response.

VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE READ:

  • Please email SustainableFarm@Comcast.net and request the Volunteer Release of Liability Form. This must be completed prior to volunteering on the farm.

  • Bring your own reusable water bottle. There is no potable water on site.

  • Bring your own MASK! Masks must be worn at all times.

  • If you are not feeling well, stay home.

  • The closest bathrooms are down the road. Prepare accordingly.

  • Wear close-toed shoes, hats (if needed), bring gloves.

  • If irrigation lines become damaged, let your coordinator know.

  • PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON RAISED PLANTING BEDS!!! Walk ONLY on rows.

  • If you are planting, double-check on appropriate spacing and depth.

  • No plant materials can be planted on the property with clearance.

  • Ask questions! We are a teaching farm!
