Code for Philly Winter 101

Want to get involved in Code for Philly? Don't know where to start? Join us for Code for Philly 101! Code for Philly welcomes civic tech enthusiasts of all kinds - have you seen how technology could be harnessed by everyday people and generally want to get involved? Do you create digital art? Are you a developer, designer, project manager/owner or generally someone who wants to dedicate their time to helping your local community through tech? You don't have to be an expert or seasoned technologist to participate! If you're interested in getting involved in any way, this event is for you!

In this brief (okay, hour and a half) session, we'll go over the basics of Code for Philly, civic tech, and how to get involved in the Code for Philly community and in projects. You'll also have a chance to meet others in the community!

One way we are trying to keep Code for Philly accessible to everyone is to keep this Code for Philly 101 an online event. There are many projects that are online only, and we would love to introduce you to those projects. If you haven't been able to make it to the recent hack nights because it filled up or because of Covid precautions, please come by!
