Quarterly Meeting At UC Irvine

We've got a good agenda for next week:

• Video post-production/ preservation workflow; Brendan Coates, UCSB

• Teaching Coding at Libraries – Raspberry Pi demonstration: Greco Venegas, Santa Monica Public Library.

• Raspberry Pi projects at JPL Library; Marlon Hernandez, Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

• Automating EC2 instances using Ansible; Tommy Keswick, CalTech.

We've got room for more, so please let me know if you've got a project to show/tell us about.

Plus lightening talks! (Everyone can talk about something for 5 minutes. And you should.)

Plus an update on the Code4Lib annual conference planning - to be held ins Southern California next February or March!

Note: lunch will not be provided this time. We'll schedule 90 minutes for lunch to allow for the short walk to nearby reasturant.

The closest parking to Langson Library is the Student Center Parking Structure. Other nearby parking: Lot 1 and Social Science Parking Structure.

Directions to Langson Library from Student Center Parking Structure: exit structure and turn left on Pereira Dr. turn right at Aldrich Hall/Bus Loop, walk past flag poles and climb 2 sets of stairs. Langson Library will be on your left; take right elevators to fifth floor room LL 570 (there will be signs as well).
